ZC1 worm drive is a kind of circular cylinder worm drive.The research of ZC1 worm drive has important theoretical guiding significance and practical value for the Independent research and development of the worm reducer with high efficiency, heavy load and steady.Based on gear space meshing theory and moving frame method, the theoretical equation of ZC1 was studied, and the strength of ZC1 worm pair was studied by contact finite element method.The forming principle of ZC1 worm, the mathematical model of grinding wheel, the tooth surface equation of the worm and the instantaneous contact line of the worm gear have been studied.This dissertation described the general method of 3D modeling of the worm pair,and puted forward a modeling method for the ZC1 worm pair:By using the numerical calculation method, the tooth profile of the worm gear tooth surface equation based on the space meshing theory was drawn.The 3D modeling of worm wheel was carried out by using the principle of forming and virtual machining technology, and the finite element contact model of ZC1 worm pair was established.This modeling method will provide guidance to other types of worm gear pair and gear pair.Based on the nonlinear contact finite element method, the distribution of contact stress on the tooth surface of worm gear was studied.The effects of different materials and tooth profile on the contact stress were analyzed.The effects of load, number of meshing teeth and tooth profile angle on the load distribution of teeth were studied.By comparing the strength of the finite element method with the analytical method, the error between the two was not more than 16%, which proved the accuracy of the finite element method.At the same time, based on the analytical method of the original, the influence factors of induced curvature radius kmin was increased,the improved formula has smaller margin, and the performance of the worm pair was fully utilized.The formula of contact strength of tooth surface was improved, which was of great practical significance to reduce the time of calculation and to improve the accuracy of analytical method, and provided a theoretical basis and method for improving and perfecting the strength calculation formula.The installation error for the worm tooth surface contact stress influence was considered,the conclusion was that the Influence of shaft angle error on tooth surface contact performance was bigger then the Influence of center distance error. At the same time, it was found that the appropriate axial error has a certain improvement on the contact performance of the worm pairs.The results of this study provided some guidance for the worm’s actual installation process and also layed the foundation of finite element analysis for cost control, and ZC1 worm tooth surface modification.
