Reinforced block masonry shear wall structure in the previous earthquake have shown a good seismic performance. Reinforced block masonry shear wall does not need template, changes the unreinforced masonry the shortcomings of low strength and poor ductility, and its performance under force and application is similar to situ reinforced concrete shear wall structure, and compared to cast-in-place reinforced concrete shear wall structure, has a economic advantage in saving steel, templates and project cost. However, because of the existing of mortar, there is some problems in practical use: the using of mortar cause that the construction process is more complicated; falling mortar will reduce the quality of masonry construction; environment has a great impact on construction; higher conservation requirements; labor costs required for masonry mortar is also significantly improved, increasing the cost of the project. To solve the above problems of the reinforced block masonry shear wall structure, this thesis combines mortarless masonry system with reinforced block masonry shear wall structure, forming a mortar less reinforced block masonry shear wall structure, which not only can fast construction and low technical requirements, but also has high bearing capacity, structural integrity, good seismic performance, etc. like reinforced masonry structures, is a good application prospects structure type.Through quasi-static test of seven specimens, this thesis studied mortarless reinforced block masonry shear wall’s damage form, capacity, stiffness degradation, energy dissipation capacity, hysteretic curve under earthquake load, noted this kind of shear wall has better seismic performance, damage levels significantly. Test data and test result show that this kind of shear wall with good energy dissipation capacity, can provide a new solution for the seismic design.In this article, the ultimate bearing capacity of the test res ults of mortarless reinforced block masonry shear wall and the code values of ultimate bearing capacity of the reinforced masonry shear wall were compared. The code values of ultimate bearing capacity of the reinforced masonry shear wall and the ultimate b earing capacity of the test results of mortarless reinforced block masonry shear wall were similar. The test data shows that the ultimate bearing capacity of the test results of mortarless reinforced block masonry shear wall is close to the code values of ultimate bearing capacity of the reinforced masonry shear wall, using mortar less technology will not influence the ultimate bearing capacity of the wall too much.Slide phenomenon has a certain impact on the damage form, hysteretic curves, skeleton curves, ultimate bearing capacity and stiffness degradation curve of the test specimen, and will cause that the specimen is not sufficient, hysteresis curves occurs Z-shaped hysteresis loop, earlier specimen slide phenomenon. According to three different axial compression ratio, aspect ratio mortarless reinforced block masonry shear walls low cycle reversed horizontal loading test, the effects of axial compression ratio, aspect ratio on the slide phenomenon were studied.
