The grouting effect test is very important since it is used to ensure the impermeability and integrity of formation or buildings. This paper introduced the test and research about grouting penetration-solidification characteristics by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in brief.First of all, grouting simulator and electrochemical testing system were designed and assembled. Then, the grouting simulation test and electrochemical test were launched. Sand specimen, soil specimen and coarse sand were simulated in grouting simulator and electrochemical testing system in turn because they have different permeability. Characteristic regulations were found preliminary by comparing grouting process and solidification process. According to the result, electrochemical methods to analyze the grouting penetration-solidification characteristics is feasible. The regularity of grouting process and solidification process can be characterized by the change of the impedance in their process through the analysis of their electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and high-frequency arc. The changing value of R1-R2 can primely characterize the whole process of penetration and solidification.Through the experimental study of this paper, a texting method of grouting effect and penetration-solidification characteristics has been got. It has certain reference significance in study on reinforcement, the security and stability of engineering.
