In today’s steady development of social economy, all walks of life on the demand for electricity is constantly increasing. Both in the large power grid and micro grid, energy conversion and storage all need power electronic equipment. The large number of nonlinear power electronic devices used in power system has resulted in serious harmonic pollution, which not only reduces the service life of the equipment, but also brings bad effects on the safe and efficient operation of the power grid. Therefore, the study of an effective filtering technology is the key to improve power quality, but also the key to control the power system harmonic pollution, which has important practical significance. In this paper, an active power filter for three-phase three wire system is studied, which can restrain harmonics in power system. This paper first introduces the research background, the harm of harmonic pollution, the existing methods of harmonic suppression and the principle of active power filter.Secondly, select the ip-iq harmonic current detection method in the harmonic current detection step and hysteresis comparison method to build the shunt active power filter system through detailed comparative analysis. MATLAB simulation software was used to build the overall model of the system, and the effect of harmonic current compensation in different conditions was simulated and analyzed. At last, the hardware circuit and software flow chart of the active power filter system are designed with TMS320F28335 DSP as the core control chip. The experimental device is set up, and its debugging is carried out. Through the experimental results, we can find that the active electronic filter system has a good compensation effect.
