Sino-Pakistan highway oriented "Sino-Pakistan Economic Corridor" runs through the Pamirs Plateau which is the result of the collision between Indian Plate and Eurasian Plate. Multi-block or multi land-arc which rotated and collaged together to form Pamir Plateau thatmakesits evolution history, geological structure and topography complicated. The study area-Northeastern Pamir –Western Kunlun area is tectonically active and seismically active which located in the leading edge of the Pamir Nappe Structure. The regional stability of the study area is poor. Besides that, the exogenic geological process of alpine zone included glacier thawing process makes collapse, landslides and mudslides, etc happen frequently. The geological disaster here is the huge threat to the construction and operation of "Sino-Pakistan Economic Corridor". The paper investigate and study the geological hazards along the Sino-Pakistan highway in order to provide reference of disaster prevention and mitigation work for "Sino-Pakistan Economic Corridor".On the basis of regional geological information collection and field investigation of geologic disaster, the paper sorted out regional geological background and engineering geological conditions of the the study area-Northeastern Pamir –Western Kunlun area. During the field investigation, we found out that morainewhich is the result of recession of glacier is widely distributed and in the moraine deposit landslide is well developed with the character of large-scale and long-distance slide. By mean of remote sensing interpretation and field positioning, we figure out the border of the landslide. With the OSLdating techniquesresult combined with the results of previous research, the landslides happened 6.1-7.0ka ago. Landslides’ stability calculation analysis shows that they are stable in natural state. In case of earthquake with acceleration reached 0.5g, landslide occur. The analysis also shows that the moraine deposit which is widely distributed in Kongur tension system is stable while its threat to Sino-Pakistan highway is potential with the concern that Kongur tension systemis seismically active.Glacier debris flow which has devastating influence to the highway distribute intensively along the both side of the Sino-Pakistan highway(Chinese section). In order to better prevent and control glacier debris flow, we do the glacier debris flowsusceptibility assessment with the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) in terms of terrain slope, drainage area, basin elevation difference, loose accumulation distribution and valley glacier coefficient. The susceptibility assessment result show that glacier debris flow’s susceptibility is pretty high in north and west foothill of Kongur, west foothill of Muztagh Ata and Gaikun mountain. The result is consistent with the actual situation. Then we implement the segmentation within the area of 2km range of Sino-Pakistan highway according to the susceptibility assessment. The count of segmentation is 11 totally.Gaiz valley is the most dangerous section in the Sino-Pakistan highway with the frequent occurrence of geological disaster. On the basis of susceptibility assessment of glacier debris flow,sand-slidingslopes investigated, engineering geological strata, topographical slope, characteristics of fault activities, we do susceptibility assessment of geologic disaster for Gaiz valley on the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). Then we divided Gaiz valley into 13 segmentsaccording to the assessment.
