As one of the main components of shrapnel,warhead is the payload of shrapnel, plays a decisive role in the completion of the final tasks.When we study warhead technology of shrapnel, especially damage effectiveness, It’s helpful to improve fight performance and operational effectiveness,and strengthen its combat capability. In this paper,we use theoretical calculation and numerical simulation to analysis warhead’s damage element under static and dynamic explosive state.Finding a theoretical formula of warhead that changes parameter fo static explosion to dynamic’s,by derivation of the formula and conversion,which can provide guidance and reference for design and Optimization of warhead.The main contents include:Firstly,introducing the basic principle of fragmentation warhead,and analysising theoretical calculation of fragments under static explosion conditions include fragments initial velocity、flight speed decay、fragments stored speed、fragments scattering characteristics、fragmentsdistribution density,and computing parameters of shock wave.Changing theoretical calculation of static explosion to dynamic’s,by conversion formula.Secondly,the damage probability of shock wave and damage probability of fragments have been computed,and damage Probability formula of dynamic explosion has been derivated.According to numerical simulation of warhead static explosion,initial speed and scattering angle of prefabricated fragment has been gotten,and compared with theoretical numerical;warhead is endowed a initial speed,simulated dispersion of dynamic explosion of warhead, initial speed and scattering angle of prefabricated fragment has been gotten,and compared with theoretical numerical.Individual fragments is selected to numerical simulation study, residual velocityafter penetrating target is obtained,by considering tungsten ball whose diameter is 4.7mm penetrate aluminum target whose thickness is15mm,and compared with theoretical numerical,then obtain damagingeffectconsistent withthe results of theoretical calculations.Then a initial speed is loaded on warhead to simulate fragments flying state of dynamic explosion,and individual fragments is extracted to study penetration aluminum target,and observation the result of penetration.Finally,damage,criterion is obtained of target by analsising vulnerability of personnel and armored vehicles.Difference between Static and dynamic is analysised,modeling compensation.Methods of the warhead damage assessment is described.The above result of theoretical calculations and numerical simulation has guiding significance for damage assessment of warhead anddevelopment new warhead.
