With the rapid development of railway transportation in our country, tamping stable car demand continued to increase. To tamping stable car requirements are also getting higher and higher, which requires precise analysis of the tamping stable car. In this paper, the study object is DWL-48 tamping stable car.First, the development history of domestic large maintenance machinery was summarized. Secondly, the details of the tamping stable car of functional and structural parameters were analyzed. And detailed analyzed on the boogie structure and some of the key components. Then, the tamping stable car dynamic model was established. Introduced the Archard wear model and tamping stable car dynamic evaluation standard. Finally the tamping stable car dynamic performance was analyzed, as well as the effect of traction force, braking force and wheel ovalisation on wheel wear.The results show that:the tamping stable car nonlinear critical speed is 161km/h, which meets the design speed of 120km/h. Tamping stable vehicle stability indicators in line with standards. In the maximum speed, the stable car vertical and lateral stability indexes are excellent, the trolley vertical stability is excellent while lateral stability is good and carts all indexes are good. The car curve through performance is good. The car can be safety operating through various curves. And the wheel load reduction rate of the first wheelset is maximum. Traction and braking conditions are aggravated creepage velocity. The wear of brake wheel was dramatically increased. The wear of traction wheel only has a slight increase. Tamping stable car wheel ovalisation leads to dynamics deterioration and increased wheel wear. The greater ovality the greater each wheel-rail force and wheel wear. From the ovality is 3mm, the Tamping stable car dynamic performance and wheel wear serious deterioration.
