In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s railway construction, high-speed rail EMU due to high-speed, safe and fast it is increasingly important to highlight the advantages of modern passenger transport system, and faster speed and more complex operating environment makes the high-speed train work more demanding. Currently along the railway line in Northwest China the climate is dry and bad, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Qinghai and other places from time to time there are different degrees of dust weather, could easily lead to spark appears to run around and even train roof insulator flashover accident, but because of composite insulators It has excellent water-repellent and water-repellent unique mobility are widely used, so the roof with good hydrophobic insulator to prevent pollution flashover has great significance. In order to study on the environmental impact of dust on the roof of the hydrophobic insulator process, based on the measurement method of composite insulators and dust conditions on composite insulators and abrasive dust corona aging expand research, proved the dust contamination and abrasion influence of surface hydrophobicity of sheds, so as to safeguard high-speed reference the safe operation of the train.In the analysis of the hydrophobic composite insulators through the surface of microscopic droplets of Materials Research and stress analysis results shed surface has excellent water-repellent and water-repellent mobility principle, explores the structure of composite insulators roughness and surface contamination on hydrophobic.
