Performance-based seismic design theory is development direction of structure anti-seismic design. Direct displacement-based seismic design is one kind of property design theories, effective way to achieve structure performance-based design. Owing to its explicit concept, simple operation, having been valued by scholars at home and abroad, acquiring numerous research results. The majority of scholars apply direct displacement-based seismic design theory to reinforced concrete structure, steel structure, doing less research for mixed structure like steel concrete column-steel beam frame; however, compared with the traditional reinforced concrete frame and steel frame, the steel concrete column-steel beam mixed frame has conspicuous performance or economic advantage. Therefore, the article develops the direct displacement-based seismic design research of steel concrete column-steel beam mixed frame structure.Refer to research for the performance-based seismic design theory of frame structure, performance level, fortification level and performance goal in the direct displacement-based seismic design of steel concrete column-steel beam mixed frame structure are put forward. And adopt storey drift angle to quantify its various performance level.The static elasto-plastic analysis on steel reinforced concrete column- steel beam mixed frame was carried out by using fiber model based on ABAQUS, and use existing experimental research results to do model verification. Under the background, direct displacement-based seismic design principle is introduced, by means of one eight-layer shaped steel concrete column-steel beam mixed frame design example to explain specific design flow. According to current design approach and direct displacement-based design method to design the mixed frames, and respectively comparing and analyzing the mixed frames; The result shows that the design method can better meet the requirement for structural multi-stage fortification, reflecting thought of performance-based design, convenient for the designer to do direct displacement-based seismic design of section steel concrete column-steel beam mixed frame.
