Building energy consumption occupies a large part of energy consumption in China. The energy consumption per unit floor area of large-scale public building is much higher than that of residential buildings. As part of a public building, office building, with high energy consumption and low energy-consuming efficiency, has great energy-saving potential, thus it has always been the focus of building energy efficiency work. In order to improve the efficiency of green building design and existing buildings’energy saving renovation, analysts often make a practice of building energy consumption simulation. Therefore, the accuracy of building energy consumption model is the foundation of building energy consumption simulation.. Model calibration can improve the accuracy of building energy consumption simulation.This paper establishes a set of feasible method to implement the building energy consumption model calibration process automatically especially for office buildings. On the basis of this method, we develop software on energy consumption model calibration for office buildings, which can improve the model accuracy and reduce human labor.First of all, this paper defines a standard office building, and sets up a IDF model of EnergyPlus, which is building energy consumption simulation software. The outputs of the standard building model conform to the characteristics of common office building energy consumption, which suggests that the definition of the standard building is reasonable. In the IDF model of EnergyPlus, this paper selects 13 parameters to take sensitivity analysis and get influence degree of each factor on building energy consumption, which lay a good foundation for the later automatic optimization algorithm.This paper analyzes the advantages of adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm, and proposes an automatic calibration method based on adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm, and realizes the method by developing software. Finally, the effectiveness of the model calibration method is verified by modeling an existing office building with the automatic calibration software.
