Part of the machinery in industrial production and transportation are linear motion. Rotary motor used in the past, and then through the screw, chain, gear and other transmission device will be converted into a linear motion of the rotary motion, making the whole mechanical device of a large volume, high cost and low efficiency. Linear motor can directly generate linear motion form of mechanical energy. The linear motor drive device can save the intermediate transmission device, simplify the system, not only improve the efficiency and reliability of the system, but also reduce the noise, reduce the manufacturing cost and easy maintenance.In this paper, we take the long primary double side linear induction motor as the research object. By simulation, the air gap magnetic field and static thrust fluctuation of 6 different winding distributions are analyzed. Design and manufacture four linear induction motor primary and support, the assembly of the long primary double side linear induction motor. A test circuit has been designed. Finally, the influence of the secondary material, electrical parameters, secondary thickness and secondary position on the static thrust of the long primary double side linear induction motor is studied by experiments.The first chapter mainly introduces the application and development of linear motor, linear motor classification, as well as the research status of linear induction motor.In the second chapter, the classification of the linear induction motor, the difference between the linear induction motor and the rotary motor, the characteristics of the linear induction motor, and the equivalent circuit of the linear induction motor are introduced.In the third chapter, the transverse flux linear induction motor is discussed, and the winding factor of the linear induction motor with six different parameters is calculated by the classical theory. The synthetic air gap magnetic field and static thrust were simulated and analyzed by Ansoft Maxwell 2D, and the effect of the distribution of three-phase winding on the performance of the linear induction motor was discussed.In the fourth chapter, the concept of the penetration depth is introduced. The experimental device and the experimental circuit are introduced. The static thrust of the long primary double side linear induction motor is tested. The influence of secondary material, electrical parameters, secondary thickness and secondary position on the static thrust of long primary double side linear induction motor is studied.
