How to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic power is the important of distributed power effectively utilize. With the development of photovoltaic industry, it can not take satisfied the requirements of photovoltaic power of fixed photovoltaic plates.It has been more attention of tracking photovoltaic panels. Because the sun relative to the earth in the same place, the orientation is changing in one day. It is the key to ues azimuth and elevation angle to improve the utilization of photovoltaic.This paper presents a system for detecting the orientation of the PV modules sensor-based with flat-topped cone,it had achieved automatic detection and tracking capabilities.Based on the four quadrant detector tracking photovoltaic device, a photovoltaic component orientation detecting system is designed, which uses the conical sensor with flap top structure. The photosensitive resistor is applied as the light detecting element. Photosensitive resistors are arranged as three-dimensional distribution type. Compared with the planar distribution of four quadrant detector, the system can detect the light intensity instead of on or off. By the photosensitive element that is arranged at the top of the conical transducer, the detection of the overall light intensity is realized. It had Completed hardware and software design for.Photovoltaic panels orientation detection system.It analysis hardware components of system and their functions,Use Keil software to program in JLINK driven basis.It comprises a signal processing and communication,SCM system and AD converter,the control method of Stepper motor.It completed the azimuth detection system and physical the design.of real.The coupling is used to fix photovoltaic panels. So the automatic solar tracking can be achieved. It has potential application value in the automatic tracking system of the PV module.
