As people’s living standards becoming higher and higher, the basic life necessities like clothing, food cannot stand long without energy, however, energy shortages and environmental pollution are the two main contemporary issues that we have to face. As people put more concerns and attentions on these two issues, the development and utilization of new energy has brought more attentions, therefore the development of new energy sources has become an internationally topical subject today. Full manipulation of photovoltaic energy, wind energy, ocean (tidal), biomass, hydro renewable sources such as clean energy development instead of kerosene and other fossil energy are about to resonating. Energy regeneration is the craving for the future system of energy and has an infinite development vision for the future of humankind in the field of energy.Wind and solar energy are both characterized by high unstability and obvious uncontrollability, which makes it of unpredictable risk to be merged into the same power grid.But we might as well find another way out by taking their complementary advantages as our subject, this will not only exploit the particular advantages of both sides, but also can help to solve the problem of energy shortage and environmental pollution.Based on the fact that there’s actual complementary advantages and the similarity of power output in topological structure of both wind and solar energy, this essay mainly focuses on designing small-scaled wind-solar hybrid system under both grid-connected and off-grid condition. Make a detailed analysis of the operation of this system of the Matlab/Simulink simulation mode and make a solid foundation for the theoretical research and control methods of the system.making thorough inquiry about the method of tracking the maximum power point respectively, as well as operational control of power-generating system. In the wind power generation, the maximum power tracking method of the duty cycle is proposed, and the maximum power tracking technology of the fuzzy sliding mode control is proposed in the photovoltaic power generation system.The development of software and hardware, as well as the prediction of power efficiency are also involved in our study. The characteristics of wind power and photovoltaic power output are studied, and a simulation test is made on the two maximum power tracking techniques.The power of the wind power output forecast, because of the randomness of wind speed effect on the output power, the wind velocity method for indirect prediction. Prediction of PV power output power, analyzes the factors influencing the effect of photovoltaic power generation output power, is proposed based on wavelet transform and neural network hybrid forecasting model predictions.Compared with several prediction methods, we put forward a new hybrid prediction model, so that it has a great improvement in accuracy.
