With the increasing grandness of power system scale,o ur country needs a higher requirement of security and the sync hronization of the grid.Traditional SCADA is difficult to meet the requirements of dynamic monitoring the grid.WAMS based on PMU can realize the simultaneous measurement and real-time monitor,which provides a new technology for the grid dynamical monitor.Due to the high cost of one-time PMU investment,we cannot locate PMU on all buses in the power grid.Therefore,it is very important to optimize the placement of PMU.The main work is as follows:(1)To define the mathematical model of PMU optimization problems.We Studied the structure and function of the PMU and its optimal allocation of application background.Using the criteria of considerable topological analysis grid observability in order to improve the efficiency and reduce the accumulated error angle of view.From the grid completely observation point of view,to establish the mathematical model of constraints and objective function.(2)Proposed the solving algorithms of PMU optimization configuration problem.Depth study related algorithms in the field of applied PMU optimal allocation,analysis advantages and disadvantages of genetic algorithm and Tabu Search algorithm,consider a single method common convergence ineffective,proposed to use genetic-tabu search algorithm configurating problem of optimization PMU placement.Using computer parallel computing technology and elitism in the genetic algorithm and Tabu search algorithm,effectively improve the algorithm optimization capability.Finally,simulation test the hybrid algorithm in Matlab platform,comparative analysis of simulation results with other algorithms.Comparative results show that the hybrid algorithm is superior to the other algorithm optimization ability and convergence speed,the superiority of the algorithm is proved.(3)Solving problem of PMU optimization configuration on two cases.Under the system completely observable conditions,using improved genetic-tabu search algorithm to optimize the allocation of PMU,got the solution of the optimum configuration.When the system is not completely observable, the given number of PMU designated as constraints,using improved genetic-tabu search algorithm to optimize the allocation of PMU,got the solution of the optimum configuration.Tests were also conducted on the MATLAB,compare other optimization algorithms configuration, proposed algorithm is reliable and effective.
