The determination of speed and position of the trains is a significant technology in train control systems. The integrated train positioning using satellite navigation receivers and multiple assistant sensors is an important direction of the train positioning technology. In order to carry out research works effectively on integrated train positioning methods and technologies, a large amount of sensor measurement is of great necessity to build different specific operation scenarios, which can support the test, evaluation and verification of the calculation methods and logics adopted in integrated train positioning systems. Due to the difficulties in obtaining sufficient raw measurements under field operation conditions, especially some boundary conditions and critical scenarios, the development and validation of integrated train positioning systems are greatly restricted. Therefore, it is surely significant to develop specific test scenarios and corresponding scenario data generation method. The design and realization of the test scenario data generation software for integrated train positioning is highly required and meaningful for the research on integrated train positioning with simulated sensor measuring data under different operation and observation scenarios.In this paper, the test scenario data generation for integrated train positioning is focused, and main contributions of this paper are summarized as follows. (1) Based on the characteristics of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) train positioning, the simulation of satellite positioning data and GNSS test scenarios is achieved using the signal generator with remote control. (2) According to the principles of integrated train positioning, the error characters of specific assistant train positioning sensors are analyzed and the sensor measuring models are built. (3) According to the problems of the train positioning sensors, some typical test scenarios are designed for certain train positioning logics. (4) The test scenario data generation software for integrated train positioning is developed, and functions of the developed software are demonstrated with combined sensor operation scenarios. The results of this paper provide simulated sensor measurements for integrated train positioning under the adopted test scenarios. It is capable of demonstrating the test scenarios, the motion of the train, trajectories, status of sensors and the simulated results, which can provide sufficient conditions for testing and evaluating the processing logics of integrated train positioning.The different system operation conditions are simulated using the developed test scenario data generation software, with which the evaluation and validation of certain train integrated positioning logics are realized. The results demonstrate the capability of assisting the tests of integrated train positioning with the developed simulation tool. Results of the paper can provide complete scenario data sources to various integrated train positioning systems and corresponding calculation logics with different system architectures, which are of great importance to the development, test and performance optimization of integrated train positioning systems in practical implementations. In addition, the main results of this paper can provide an important basis for constructing the laboratory simulation test environments at different levels in the future.
