With the rapid development of the population and the the growth of theglobal economy,the environmental problem is getting more and more serious. The construction industry is one of main causes of the environmental pollution. In recent years, green building has been promoted in China, and the development of the steel structure housing is particularly fast. The steel structure has the advantages of flexible layout,industrial production,on-site assembly,fastconstruction speed,less environmental pollution and so on.But the weight of steel structure is relatively light and the resistance to lateral stiffness is less. The structure will be destroyed because of the large deformation under the earthquake,which brings serious damage to the life and property of the residents.In this paper, the 12 layer pure steel frame structure is studied by the commonly used finite element software SAP2000.In the Y direction of the frame structure,4mm,8mm, 12mm thick steel plate shear wall are added respectively,and do a comparative study on them.Analyze the influence of steel plate shear wall on structure under earthquake from three aspects,the top floor displacement of structure,the displacement angle between layers and the maximum shear force of the base.Through the calculation, it is found that the top displacement, the displacement angle and the maximum shear stress change of the pure steel frame under the action of earthquake can be neglected in the X direction compared with the steel frame steel plate shear wall. They have a great difference in Y direction,the interlayer displacement angle of the pure steel frame is much larger than that of the latter,but the maximum base shear value is much smaller than that of steel plate shear wall.Compared with the steel frame shear wall with different thickness, the displacement of the X to the structure and the maximum shear value of the base have little difference.In the Y direction, with the increase of the thickness, the inter layer displacement decreases and the maximum shear force increases.The analysis results show that the steel plate shear wall can improve the seismic performance of the structure, and the cost performance of the thin steel plate shear wall is the highest, which can be considered priorly.
