Brushless Doubly-Fed Machine (BDFM),a new type of motor,belongs to AC motor.Its structure and work principle are different from the ordinary AC motor’.The BDFM,owing low work cost and reliability,not only abandons brushes and slip rings,but also has a simple structure and various operating modes.Relying on these advantages,the BDFM is likely to substitute traditional motor in some key areas and is widely used. Centering wound rotor BDFM,this thesis study several important topics.The thesis contains the following sections:Firstly,the BDFM’s work principle,stator and rotor structure,operating modes were introduced. Secondly,the mathematical model was deduced and the power flow direction,loss,efficiency were analyzed by equivalent circuit model.Thirdly,a few important problems about the design of wound rotor BDFM were summarized.Fourthly,the model of wound rotor BDFM was established by finite element software,then the model was simulated and analyzed,the rotor winding of this BDFM was optimized,which enhanced the performance of the wound rotor BDFM.Finally,the experiment was carried out and the results were compared with theoretical analysis in order to gain some valuable conclusions.The study of this thesis is valuable for the design and optimization analysis of wound rotor BDFM.
