Abstract/Summary:
Along with the development of small UAV application technology, the flight control technology is also increasingly become a hot research at home and abroad. The ground-based control software is one of the most important part of the whole UAV system. The ground-based control system monitors the status of aircraft flight state real-time. It guarantees the reliability and effectiveness of the UAV.The traditional ground-based control system for small UAV runs at the desktop system. With poor portability and poor anti-interference problem, they are not conducive to control the craft and acquire data. With the mature of mobile internet technology, the smart mobile terminals will take the place of the traditional control terminal as an aircraft control system terminal. Smart mobile terminal is small in size, easy to carry, while strengthen the operating flexibility and increase the scope of control. Smart mobile terminal can receive more types of data and information with so many sensor devices the traditional control system can’t match. Among the mobile terminal, the Android platform is one of the best. So this paper develop the mobile terminal control system with Android language.Our team has designed a control system of mini-six aircraft independently. This system consists of mini-six aircraft flight controller and mobile phone ground station. After design and product of the mini-six aircraft and remote control handle, we develop a mobile phone ground station based on Android.Characteristics of the flight control system: exquisite design, only palm size, in line with market demand; with good maneuverability, can complete all kinds of special effects; aircraft equipped with motor protection, can protect motor very well; available remote control handle and mobile phone dual control, more widely meet the needs of public.In the production process, we fully understand the working principle of flight control module based on ARM, communication module and sensor module and the program code. We learned how to develop mobile phone APP use JAVA. And we define a communication protocol to realize the transmission of information.The mobile phone ground station has a friendly interface and can display flight data in real time. At the same time, we can use the interface of mobile phone ground station replace the throttle remote control handle and control the attitude of the aircraft by using the gravity sensor system. This ground station is designed to be a complete APP package, which can be installed and is capable of performing the flight monitoring and controlling.
