Matrix converter is a new type of AC/AC converter, which can achieve the input and output regulation, and the four quadrant operation. The superiority of VSCF wind power generation system more and more attention in the field of wind power generation. To realize the superiority and feasibility of VSCF wind power generation has been confirmed by the double fed motor. Doubly fed induction generator rotor side excitation converter is the key to achieve the maximum utilization of wind energy and output power decoupling. Based on the above points, the excitation converter of doubly fed generator rotor is used in this paper.This paper introduces the matrix converter topology and its operation principle, detailed elaboration and analysis of matrix converter indirect space vector modulation method, basic stagnation ring current method, sinusoid band hysteresis current method and modulation strategy, and the use of MATLAB/Simulink software to build simulation model of dual stage matrix converter on the simulation analysis of the modulation strategy.Analysis of the four schemes of VSCF wind power generation. The mathematical principle and mathematical model of the operation of doubly fed induction generator are deduced in detail. Based on the theoretical analysis, the vector control scheme of doubly fed induction generator is proposed, and the scheme is theoretically deduced and analyzed.Theoretical analysis in order to achieve maximum wind energy utilization rate for the purpose of maximum wind power tracking control strategy, a detailed analysis of the tip speed ratio control and three comparison algorithm to achieve the maximum power point tracking strategy. The simulation results show that based on matrix converter of variable speed constant frequency wind power generation system is running stable, superior control performance and output electrical energy quality is high. Given the hardware structure and software design of the matrix converter of variable speed constant frequency wind power generation system based on, to build the experimental platform and the applications.
