In recent years, with the increase of the local war and the war on terror, the low collateral damage is favored by a lot of countries. In the development process of the low collateral damage explosives, it is necessary to complete the test of the damage signal to evaluate it’s damage effect. In this paper, according to the characteristics of low collateral damage, a method is designed to test it’s damage signal, and through the LS-DYNA conventional ammunition simulation, comparative analysis of the characteristics of the damage signal with low collateral damage.Through extensive searches of domestic and foreign literatures, the present situation of the development of low collateral damage explosive and it’s damage signal test are studied, and the damage assessment method based on shock wave test is established. First analyzes the principle of shock wave generation and propagation, designed the special shock wave overpressure test system, and conducted a real bomb test; In order to study low collateral damage signal characteristics established and checked up LS-DYNA simulation model. Finally, the shock wave signal of conventional ammunition with the same equivalent as the low collateral damage is simulated by using the model, and summarizedthe characteristics of the low collateral damage signal. Idiographic works are as follows:(1) Analyzed the method and principle of shock wave formation and propagation;Introducedthe ANSYS/LS-DYNA simulation software and it’s basic control equations and simulation process briefly.(2) Aimed at low collateral damage bomb characteristics, completed the signal conditioning module, wireless communication module, acquisition storage module, power management module and U disc reading box design, write and debug the wireless communication module and the acquisition storage module program, completed the system development.(3) According to the theory of dynamic calibration, completed theshock tube dynamic calibration of testing system; Through the field experiment verified the accuracy and reliability of the system; Complete the 1.73 kg TNT equivalent low collateral damage bomb field experiment with the test system.(4) Established and verified LS-DYNA conventional ammunition explosion simulation model; Simulated 1.73 kg conventional ammunition with the LS-DYNA model, compared the simulation results with the low collateral damage explosive field experiment results, through analysis found the low collateral damage explosive damage signal own the characteristics of overpressure low and positive pressure time short.
