Transmission tower, as a pillar of power transmission,accounts for 40%, a large proportion, of the total investment of line. Its structural strength and mechanical properties will directly affect the security of the entire power system and the operation of economy. Transmission tower was mainly damaged by wind, so the study of wind vibration response of transmission tower is of great significance in improving design quality of transmission towers and ensuring the safety of transmission lines. Focusing on wind vibration response of transmission tower, this thesis mainly reaches achievements as following:1) Introducing the characteristics of wind loads, the brief development of transmission tower, and the status quo of the study of wind vibration response. As for sensitive of wind, this thesis exemplifies several losses of domestic transmission towers caused by wind. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of wind vibration response study of transmission tower. It also gives a detailed description of some study approaches for transmission tower wind vibration response and lists the advantages and disadvantages of each method.2) Describing several methods to calculate wind vibration response, the main types of which are time domain methods and frequency domain methods. Each method is introduced in detail, and several methods in the frequency domain are deduced theoretically. Subsequently, the thesis presents an introduction of several commonly used calculating methods of the structural equivalent static wind loads, and illustrates the corresponding adaptive range, advantages and disadvantages of each method.3) Aeroelastic model is relatively more effective and precise to study the response of transmission towers. In this thesis, wind tunnel test on aeroelastic model is of a detailed description.Test data obtained is demonstrated through a graphical way, and the most unfavorable wind angle has been acquired via comparative analysis.4) Illustrating the rigid model dynamometer test in great detail. Through the analysis of experimental data obtained the most unfavorable wind direction angle. Through the finite element analysis of rigid model load test data obtained the displacement response of the structure. Comparing the displacement response data, verify the reliability of the data. Through the analysis of the data of the most unfavorable wind direction angle obtained the internal forces of the structure. And analyzed the influence of temperature load on the structure internal force.Finally, this thesis summarizes the work and presents questions for further improvement and study.
