With the increase of the running speed, the dynamic environment of the high-speed EMU is rapidly deteriorating, and the stability, security and stability of the vehicle will be greatly affected. In order to ensure the good dynamic performance of railway vehicles in operation, the dynamic tests and dynamic simulation of the vehicle are required. Vehicle dynamics simulation is not only the main theoretical support of vehicle design, but also an important supplementary means of vehicle testing, and it is an irreplaceable tool for the assessment of extreme conditions. In the vehicle dynamics simulation analysis and dynamic performance evaluation, first of all, it is required to determine the type of excitation input to the vehicle. Currently the vehicle dynamics simulation uses the random track spectrum, such as the United States 6 spectrum, spectrum of Germany and Wu-Guang spectrum, the vehicle dynamics performance is evaluated by using different random spectrum, the results are often different, and track random spectrum itself is stochastic, which resulted in the uncertainty of vehicle dynamic performance assessment. Therefore, it is very necessary to study the track irregularity characteristic spectrum with certain wavelength and amplitude, and the dynamic performance of the vehicle is certain under the track irregularity characteristic spectrum excitation. This paper mainly focuses on vehicle dynamics simulation calculation conditions (track excitation input type) to study, analyses the randomness of track random spectrum and the vehicle dynamic performance under the excitation of the characteristic spectrum and discusses preset amplitude of the characteristic spectrum. The main work:(1) describes the current status of the track characteristic spectrum and the development situation of domestic and foreign high-speed EMU, and expounds on the vehicle system dynamics modeling method, and establishes a certain type of high-speed EMU dynamics simulation model.(2) describes the various track random spectrum, through dynamics simulation, compares and illustrates the randomness of track random spectrum, and elaborated the MCAT—minimally compliant analytical track, which is a deterministic track characteristic spectrum.(3) study on the dynamic performance of a certain type of high-speed EMU in the characteristic spectrum of the 17.5m excitation wavelength, and evaluate the performance using the VTI—Vehicle-Track Interaction standard in the United States.(4) explores the selection of the preset amplitude of the characteristic spectrum of the excitation wavelength as the vehicle distance—117.5m and the wheelbase of the bogie— 2.5m.
