China is one of the fastest aging process countries in the world, which is associated with a great challenge to medical technology. Wireless body area network(WBAN) based on human health detection has emerged with the development of sensors and wireless communication technology. Wireless body area network has a very broad prospects and huge market potentials in the medical field, the paper is mainly about the design of transceiver designed for the detection of human health wireless body area network refering to the IEEE 802.15.6 standard and European wireless body area network applications.First of all, the paper analyzed the domestic and foreign differences in the development of medical implant communication system, compared the advantages and disadvantages of various kinds of and transceiver structures; determined appropriate transceiver structure by understanding the main performance parameters of the transmitter and receiver, to design a low power transmitter, an image signal rejected receiver with a low intermediate frequency.The schematic and layout was accomplished in 0.18 technology, and structure of the transceiver was verified and simulated by EDA software. Transmitter is mainly a Class AB power amplifier with an OOK modulation port, which can work in FSK mode when the OOK modulation port is enabled; The receiver receiving sensitivity is-90 dBm, the dynamic range is-90 dBm ~-25 dBm, the entire receiver chain conversion gain is 40 ~ 90 dB; IF amplifier module and LNA’s bulun have an gain control mode that can reasonably adjust the system gain and linearity, receiver’s NF(noise figure) is less than 12 dBm; transceiver system has 100 kbps data rate at OOK(on-off key) modulation mode, 30 kbps data rate at 2-FSK(2 frequency shift key) modulation mode. The transceiver can work well in distance of 2 ~ 3 meters with normal data rate and support multi-frequency working.Transceiver system control program uses a combination of software and hardware, The appropriate control scheme makes the system transceiver docking interface between the control modules and the other modules become easier, and facilitates the follow-up the development, such as docking Heart rate and body temperature measurement modules; The software can schedule better between transmiting and receiving(a half duplex mode); transmitting and receiving has adopted digital modulation mode, demodulation circuit used the conventional analog demodulation method to get baseband signals by demodulating a received signal, By comparing the non-coherent detection’s(fetch envelope) and coherent detection’s(frequency discriminator) advantages and disadvantages in demoldulation.
