| Network arch bridges have little bending moment in arch-beam, high vertical stiffness, good vibration performance, beneficial economic and aesthetic effects. Network arch bridges have inclined hangers that cross each other at least twice. In recent years, there has been a very rapid increase in the numbers of network arch bridge in foreign countries. On the contrary, it cannot be found in China. The purpose of this research is to investigate the feasibility of optimal network arch bridge construction/development in Chinese high-speed railway.Combined a lot of network arch bridges and references, characteristics of arches were introduced, such as arch structure, the layout of hangers and floor system. Five different arrangements of hangers and the selection of parameter were highlighted. The behavior of network arch bridge is greatly influenced by the structural parameter. A case study of network arch bridge with a span of 128 meters was analysed from the number of hangers, inclination, the stiffness ratio of arch to beam and the ratio of height to span to optimize the structure.A high-speed railway network arch bridge with a span of 128 meters was designed with results of parameter analysis and Chinese code for design of high speed railway. Using the Finite Element Method and Simulation Technology, the action of static and vehicle-bridge dynamic performances of this bridge was analysed. It was compared with vertical arch. Conclusion:network arch bridges are very suitable for high speed railway which the structural behaviour, economic and aesthetic values are better than vertical hanger arch. |
