At present, Fiber-reinforced Foamed Urethane (referred to as "FFU") sleepers were rarely used in track structures of China, it was the first time that FFU sleepers were used in the bridge deck of steel truss in China railway. The domestic research literatures about FFU sleepers used in the bridge deck of steel truss were arely able to find.Through the investigation and research of the domesic and foreign application situation that FFU sleepers used in the railway and combined with the domestic railway situation of steel truss bridge deck, the FFU sleeper railway structure project was studied out preliminarily. Based on the preliminary structure and after reasonable simplication, the finite element model is established, a series of theoretical studies were conducted and the experimental studies and site construction were guided.Main research contents in the article were as follows:(1) FFU sleeper characters and its use situation at home and abroad were introduced roundly.(2) Though the comparison of FFU sleeper railway structure types, fastening types, the connection methods between steel truss and sleepers and combined with domestic actual situation, the FFU sleeper railway structure type, fastening type and the connection method between steel truss and sleepers were studied out preliminarily.(3) Based on the railway structure project that studied out preliminarily, after reasonable simplification, the finite element model is established, mechanical characters with guardrail and without guardrail; the influence of rubber mat stiffness under rails, the distance between sleepers, sleeper supporting spacing and sleeper sizes to the railway structure force; the effect of fastener resistance to rail expansion additional force, braking force and broken rail and the effect to the relative displacement between beam and rail were researched. Reasonable matching numerical values of rubber stiffness under rail, sleeper spacing, sleeper sizes, fasrener resistance and so on were confirmed finitely; the results showed that:guardrail can effectively relieve the stress of the track structure characteristics; the reasonable stiffness of rubber mat stiffness under rails is 100kN/mm; while the stiffness of rubber mat stiffness under rails is 250kN/mm, sleeper width should not be less than 0.22m, the thickness of the sleeper should not be less than 0.24m, the length of the sleeper just need to meet the needs of the installation, those were reasonable.(4) Vibration performance test on site of wooden sleeper railway structure and FFU sleeper railway structure on the steel truss bridge deck which was in business were done and the test data were dealt with and were changed to the acceleration amplitude spectrum by FFT. Main frequencices of each part of railway structure were found. Concentrated energy sections of each part of railway structure were analyzed by vibration acceleration level of 1/3 time. By the comparing the rail vertical displacements and driving stability between two railway structures, the driving stability of FFU sleeper railway structure was supper to the wooden sleeper railway structure.
