The horizontal bearing capacity of pile group is a common problem in pile foundation engineering. With the development of modern national construction, the problem of the bearing capacity of pile group is becoming more and more common in practical engineering. At home and abroad, there are more research on the horizontal bearing capacity of single pile, but there are few studies on the effect of group piles under horizontal load and they are not mature. Based on the research results at home and abroad, this paper uses the research methods, and further experimental research and theoretical calculation are carried out. In this paper, the method of indoor model test and numerical simulation of finite element software are used to compare and study the influence factors of the effect of group piles under horizontal load. The main work is as follows:(1)Review and summarize the existing literature and research results at home and abroad, the commonly used theoretical calculation method of the horizontal bearing capacity of group pile is compared, and the advantages and disadvantages and the scope of application are defined;(2)Through the indoor model test, compare an analyse the influence of the bearing capacity of pile group pile spacing, number of piles and pile caps buried depth of the, and compare the pile group effect coefficient, and summarize the effects of these factors on the bearing capacity of the pile group and the pile group effect coefficient influence;(3)According to the theoretical calculation method recommended by standard, calculate and compare the horizontal bearing capacity and the pile group effect coefficient in different conditions, summarize the influence law of each influence factor when using the theoretical calculation method;(4)With the aid of the finite element software PLAXIS 3D, numerical simulation is carried out for the numerical example and the numerical simulation results are compared with the theoretical calculation results, and the results are verified by numerical simulation.
