The heart of the natural gas transmission system-gas compressor plant, which provided the dynamic for the entire transport system. Since the equipment will generate a lot of waste heat and combustible gases during the operation in the factory. The ventilation system seriously affect the safety of the factory. At present, the designation of the ventilation system of gas compressor in the factory was less studied in domestic and the national regulations of its ventilation system were less requested, the designation of this ventilation system is deeply dependent on the engineering experience of the designers.It found that its research focused on the following three aspects,by checking out the literature, national regulations and data about the designation of ventilation system.(1) the different forms of ventilation system were analyzed and compared, the results showed that the advantages and disadvantages of the ventilation system;(2) the provision of the designation of the ventilation system d;(3) the computational formula of the ventilation system. In order to provide the designation basis for the design of different ventilation systems.A natural gas compressor plant in Yu Lin was took as an example in the literature, Calculated the air volume of the ventilation system and used the FLUENT software to simulate the airflow field with the current ventilation systems of gas compressor in the plant, the results showed that the wind speed of plant is too small, the average wind speed is 0.2m/s near the compressor, due to the small inlet wind speed, the unreasonable inlet and oulet position of the air, leading to the temperature in this plant is too high, the average temperature is 316 K. This temperature is greater than the process requirements of the ambient temperature of 313 K.According to the relevant requirements of air volume and air distribution, three ventilation systems were designed. Then the author used the FLUENT software to simulate these ventilation systems, getting the following conclusions:(1) It is suggested to choose mechanical air supply in natural gas compressor plant, and use the way of mechanical or natural ventilation to exhaust air.(2)Air volume and distribution should be considered when we design the ventilation system in plant.(3) The ventilation system of air-supply through ditch combined with air exhausted by mechanical way not only can effectively improve the working environment of compress, but also has optimal effects in ventilation and cooling, making the working environment temperature of the unit is about 308 K.(4) From the economic, operational and practical aspects of the environment and other considerations, the plant should use the "side into the wind + mechanical ventilation" approach.It is hoped that this study will provide a design reference for architects in the field of improvement of the ventilation system of gas compressor plant.
