The research on the wearing properties in different wearing stages is significant for material choice, manufacturing, heat treatment, estimation of abrasion loss and lifetime of a machine part and for maintenance of processing equipment. Simulation software is widely used in simulating the wearing process and calculating abrasion loss, nowadays. And the key parameter required by the simulation is coefficient of wear k(t), therefore large amount of test is needed to obtain it. Thus it is significant to construct a proper model for calculating the coefficient and fit the data from experiment to obtain the function of coefficient of wear.The object of study in this paper is the pair-wearing of albronze and 45 steel, 45 steel and 45 steel on M-2000 wear test machine. The wearing characters of the friction pairs with different materials under liner contact and rolling-sliding combined unlubricated condition are studied. By designing a reasonable experimental plan to study load, velocity, ratio of sliding-rolling and roughness of friction pairs affect the wearing process.Based on the wear volume data measured in the experiment, plot the time-wear volume scatter diagram in OriginPro. The effects of different factors on wearing process are analyzed based on single factor variables of load, velocity, ratio of sliding and rolling and roughness of friction pairs. The wearing mechanisms under liner contact and rolling-sliding combined frictional condition are obtained based on data gotten from test in this paper and the researches of other scholars.The formula to calculate abrasion loss is obtained based on test data and Archard model for abrasion loss calculation.The abrasion loss vs time curve is obtained by fitting test data in MATLAB.Based on the combination of the curve with the formula,the coefficient of wear k(t)is obtained by programming in MATLAB.The coefficient of wear between albronze and 45 steel K铝'铜-45'and that between 45 steel itself K45'-45'are thus calculated.The sample points of the early stage of wearing are scarce for restriction of measure method,therefore a temperature compensation technique is applied to repair the curve fitted above.Thus,a coefficient of wear is gotten which could reflect better the abrasion rule during initial wear stage.
