Along with the rapid development of market economy and fast updating speed of products, traditional manufacturing is facing relatively high cost, fierce competition and low profit. Therefore China is trying best to close down backward production facilities and transform into "Made with Wisdom". High speed and high precision CNC equipment is widely used in manufacturing field. PMSLM is playing a key part in CNC equipment. Now PMSLM isn’t wieldy used mainly limited by its disconnected structure which disconnects winding and magnetic circuit and causes thrust fluctuation, and the structure makes PMSLM difficult to control.Firstly, this paper explores thrust ripple, cogging force and end force in PMSLM. According to the mathematical model and formula deduction, analyze the cause of thrust fluctuation in PMSLM. Analysis shows that thrust ripple mainly caused by high frequency harmonic in windings; cogging force could be reduced by changing arc coefficient; end force could be reduced by optimizing the length of the iron core. Aim at horizontal and vertical detent force of PMSLM, use Ansoft Maxwell software to sweep analyzes the different notch, height of end teeth, width of end teeth, height of magnetic yoke and height of permanent magnet, then give the optimal value in different factors.Secondly, to solve the magnetism isolating and installation problem of PMSLM, this paper states the installation procedure and technical requirements of TB15 S.Set up experiment platform to test static thrust constant, and the experimental results agree with the theoretical results. Use Workbench software to analyze experiment platform, and the results show it meets requirements. Use static analysis and dynamic analysis method to study the sliding table of TB15 S, and the results show it meets mechanical strength and work demand.Lastly, use MPC08 motion control card and electric platform to test detent force of TB15 S linear motor, and the results show detent force is fluctuates periodically. Set up the platform to test dynamic thrust of TB15 S, and results show that the digital closed loop control system based on TB15 S linear motor, ELMO TUB15-230 AC servo driver and SGC-4.2 incremental grating-rule output force steadily, and meet technical requirements.
