Long distance diversion tunnel with small section usually located in a complex mountain area, and the tunnel built along the complicated geological conditions and hydrologic conditions. In addition, the construction of diversion tunnel is narrow which make the tunnel excavation, ventilation, drainage, supporting and construction management become difficult. Based on the diversion tunnel project in water transferring engineering from Shu River to the Rizhao Reservoir, investigation and study was conducted in whole construction process of diversion tunnel. Combined with the technology solutions in the process of project implementation, to refine and improve a variety of key technical problems witch were encountered in the process of practice engineering. Consequently, a study was conducted in the comprehensive technology for diversion tunnel engineering construction.(1) Study on the key technology in conduction of this project, such as advance geological forecast, blasting, ventilated, waterproof and drainage scheme. Proposed and optimized the related parameters of key technical in condition of diversion tunnel with small section.(2) By comparing different small section of construction quality and progress control scheme of diversion tunnel, the construction quality and controlling scheme was analyzed, to optimize the construction quality and controlling in the rest of this project.(3) Analyzed on the construction technology and parameters of refuge recess in small section diversion tunnel with crushed surrounding rock, and optimized the scheme of design, supporting, construction of refuge recess of this project.(4) In view of the concrete pipe jacking construction which is a key technical difficult in this project, to analyze the effect of mud resistance deduction in the construction of long distance pipe jacking with large diameter, and then, to optimized the parameter of pipe jacking construction,such as the relay well setting and the axis controlling.Finally, put forward a feasible technical measurement.Results can make a reference to ensure the construction safety,good working environment and quality of the long-distance water diversion tunnel with small section. And can provide guidance to the diversion tunnel project in water transferring engineering from Shu River to the Rizhao Reservoir.
