Cable terminal and cable connection box is a necessary part in the cables use, cold cable terminal because of its terminal prefabricated type production and installation simple process becomes cable accessories of the most widely applied form.The production of the main terminal prefabricated cold cable terminal material of silicon rubber and EPDM. This paper mainly studies with EPDM as base makings, adding BaTiC>3, SiC, ZnO and CB four nonlinear inorganic packing, making the nonlinear composite material preparation, and study the mechanical properties and the electricity performance. Using the orthogonal experiment method, made a new kind of high voltage grade nonlinear insulating materials.First of all, according to research the previous research experience, study the four nonlinear inorganic packing single factor experiment, choose each packing three concentration, the different concentrations of each packing test.and measure its break elongation, fracture tensile strength, conductivity, the relative dielectric constant and medium loss, sure each packing different concentration on the property of the composite effect, in order to ensure the factors of orthogonal test and level. The measuring found that, BaTiO3, SiC and CB with mechanical reinforcement performance; Add BaTiO3 of composite materials of electrical conductivity with the increase of the electric field strength not obviously presented nonlinear, through the experiment data contrast found, BaTiO3 and ZnO on the mechanical properties of composite is little affected, and BaTiO3 composites is superior to the influence of the conductivity ZnO.According to the single factor experiment results to determine the BaTiO3, SiC and CB three factors, each factors determine the two experimental level, determined the mechanical properties and the electricity performance five experimental index, design L8(32) orthogonal test table, the eight groups experiment is calculated, and the data of the experiments in the group between groups of variance, variance and poor, according to two of the composite material performance, a different experiments are respectively the different factors of composite material level effect on the performance of importance, and then the comprehensive evaluation method, to each group of experiment in the different performance ranking scored, and finally obtain the optimal formula: 16% BaTiO3,20% of SiC,0.6% CB.
