In frozen regions, the frost heave of foundation and the thaw settlement often lead to the destruction of buildings and structures and how to prevent and reduce the injury occurrence is a problem in engineering field. As a new type of piles, screw pile has been widely used in recent years at home and abroad. Especially, in recent years, it has been successfully applied in defending larger uplift in non-frozen soil. Therefore, exploring the screw pile as photovoltaic sheet pile foundation has great significance in the prevention of frost heaving and thaw settlement in seasonal frozen soil regions. So, this article discusses the uplift effect through the indoor experiment of different screw pile type in the seasonal frozen soil area, analyzes the influence law of screw pile against frost heaving properties in displacement, the temperature distribution of screw pile. It has a guiding significance to the use of screw pile’s geometry in the practical engineering project. This paper mainly includes the following main research directions:Firstly, in order to determine soil classification, frost susceptibility, and provide the data for the next indoor test, the laboratory tests of soil samples are conducted and the results of test show that the soils are silt and clay.Secondly, comparison of the anti-uplift performance of different screw piles with smooth pile. Taking advantage of the designed multifunctional experiment box, the indoor frost heaving tests are conducted, which choose different types of screw piles and smooth pile. The consequence show that the screw pile is more effective in anti-uplift performance than smooth pile and the screw pile with two big blades is the best among the six kinds. At the same time, the displacement law and temperature distribution of screw pile are analyzed.Finally, COMSOL simulation software is applied to simulate the distribution of temperature field and the frost-heaving displacement law of different types of piles with two ways. In the other hand, the comparison between steel pile and concrete filling pile which is used widely in practice show that the steel pile is better.
