With the accelerating process of economic globalization, more and more business activities and resources allocation is carrying on in a global scale. Port is the hub connecting ocean shipping, inland water transportation and inland transportation. It is a powerful comprehensive logistics hub and high efficiency junction of all sorts of transportation modes. Under the background of one belt and one road, Port is becoming more and more important. Containers, handling mechanical equipment and berth scheduling problem put forward new challenges to us.Berth is a scarce resource in container terminal. Quay crane is one of the most expensive equipment in container terminal. How to use berth and quay crane resources reasonably, shortening port time of ship, so as to improve the service quality and reduce costs and enhance competitiveness? It is the root of the survival and development of container terminal. This dissertation does some research on scheduling the quay crane.This dissertation introduces a lot of related literature, finding that the current research for the berth and the quay crane allocation problem is still not ideal. It lacks research for dynamic quay crane scheduling. Continuous berths and quay crane scheduling problem also need further improve and perfect. This dissertation conducted the following research:Firstly, this dissertation studied dynamic quay crane scheduling within adjacent berth. Based on variable service speed queuing theory, this dissertation constructed quay cranes scheduling model considering variable service desk and put forward some solving thought. Secondly, this dissertation build simulation modeling using Anylogic software based on quay cranes scheduling queue model. Thirdly, this dissertation carried simulation experiment using the data of Amsterdam port. Through the experiment, the dissertation get the optimal scheduling strategy, which confirmed the correctness and algorithm’s effectiveness of the quay cranes scheduling model based on variable front desk.Finally, this dissertation made sensitivity analysis on the factors affecting the mean sojourn time of container.
