The taxi quantity scale in China’s megalopolis has already reached a relatively great level; however, "Taxi Difficult" issue is still a serious problem in these cities, especially in the passenger terminal areas. In this paper, using the lunar GPS data of 12000 taxis in Beijing covering the November 2012, and on the basis of taxi data processing and analysis and the extraction of taxi operation trajectory, we explore the connection law between taxi traffic flow and Beijing West Railway Station and analyze the organizational method of the taxi dispatch area. The main contents of this paper focus on the following aspects:(1) Analyze the spatial and temporal law of the taxi trajectory origin point (O point) distribution which the trajectory destination in Beijing West Railway Station area and the taxi trajectory destination point (D point) distribution which the trajectory origin in Beijing West Railway Station area, and especially focus on the analysis of taxi operation hot zone and hot period of the relevant trajectory O points and D points.(2) Using the extracted taxi operation trajectories which taking Beijing West Railway Station as the origin or destination points, explore the connection law between taxi traffic flow and, including the travel speed analysis of taxi carrying passenger to or away Beijing West Railway Station, the travel distance analysis of taxi carrying passenger to or away Beijing West Railway Station, the travel time analysis of different taxi operation trajectory, the statistical point-in-time analysis of taxi carrying passenger arriving or leaving Beijing West Railway Station, and relevant conclusions have achieved based on these analysis.(3) Analyze and summary the existing problems of taxi operation around Beijing West Railway Station, according to taxi operation behaviors within the taxi service area of Beijing West Railway Station. Build a system utility optimization model of taxi dispatch area of Beijing West Railway Station to study the organization methods of the taxi dispatch area. Demonstrate the feasibility of the model by a hypothesis calculation example, and discuss building a dynamic dispatch information system to differently organize the dispatch scheme according to the different taxi passenger flow.Overall, using taxi GPS data, this paper analyzes the taxi operation behavior law within the taxi service area of Beijing West Railway Station and discusses the organization methods of the taxi dispatch area, providing data support and theoretical basis to enhance the taxi service level in railway passenger station and to optimize the organization methods of taxi dispatch area in railway passenger station.
