The viscosity of water is small, so tenmat material which young modulus far less than metal modulus must be chosen as water-lubricated bearing when it uses water as lubricant. The Elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL) model of infinite line contact of water-lubricated journal bearing is established. Based on the multi-grid(MG) method for solving the pressures, the multi-integration(MLMI) approach for evaluating the elastic deformations, and a sequential column sweeping scheme for solving the energy equations, a full numerical solution for water-lubricated tenmat bearing under different influences are obtained. The main influence contains: thermal, surface roughness, surface micro-pits texture, debris and external impact load.Firstly, the isothermal EHL analysis of water-lubricated tenmat bearing was carried out. The distribution of water-lubricated tenmat bearing of pressure and film thickness under isothermal EHL is obtained; the effect of pressure at the inlet, pressure peak and film thickness under different loads and speeds were discussed, and then the water lubrication properties of three plastic materials were compared.Secondly, the thermal EHL analysis of water-lubricated tenmat bearing considering surface roughness was researched. A comparative analysis between the thermal numerical results and isothermal numerical results is done; The effects of water-lubricated tenmat bearing pressure and film thickness with cosine surface roughness is researched, and the variations of the water film pressure and film thickness with surface roughness amplitudes and wavelengths are analyzed.Thirdly, the friction model of surface texture bearing was set up,and the full numerical solution of water-lubricated tenmat bearing with circular dimple, rectangular dimple and triangular-rectangular dimple was carried out. The changing of minimum film thickness of water-lubricated bearing under different slip-roll ratio are discussed. In addition, the effects of different dimple depth and diameter are also analyzed.Fourthly,the lubrication numerical analysis of water-lubricated tenmat bearing when considering the effect of temperature, debris and surface roughness. The lubrication model of bearing with debris was set up, and the Reynolds equation with debris was deduced. The distributions of pressure and film thickness with debris were discussed. The effects of debris size, debris position and the relative gap on the pressure and film thickness were researched.At last, the EHL model of water-lubricated tenmat bearing subjected to external impact load is built. The variation of pressure and film thickness was investigated when journal bearing was subjected to external impact load, such as step change, rectangular and sine impact load.and the effect of impact load amplitude and pulse width on pressure and film thickness are researched.
