200kt/a polypropylene unit compressor in Yan,an petrochemical plant has a short running period, and it needs to be stopped for maintenance and repair. The main factors affecting the long-term running of the compressor are: 1) Poor water quality of circulating cooling water; 2) Technology medium with oil and powder; 3) Propylene flow fluctuation; 4) Valve malfunction; 5) The effect difference of the compressor is poor; 6) Other equipment failure causes the compressor to stop.Through the research of several important factors affecting the operation of the pilot period, the paper analyzes the reasons and puts forward the optimized improvement measures: 1) Changing the local water quality, increasing the heat exchanger with large cooling area; 2) Enhance washing, reduce the fine powder and oil carried in propylene gas; 3) Adjustment of the proportion of chemical raw materials; 4) Control of aluminum content(mass fraction) in the washing tower; 5) Increase filter; 6) Parameter optimization and transformation of the device.This through the improvement, the operation period of polypropylene plant is obviously prolonged, the frequency of equipment maintenance is reduced, the number of unplanned shutdown and non-planned shutdown of the unit is reduced significantly, and the maintenance cost is reduced significantly.
