As is known to all, Heart disease has been a killer which is a threat to human health.Due to its high mortality and sudden characteristics, heart disease is difficult to predict.At present, heart disease tends to be a younger age, so people need equipment to detect this disease, which can not affect their work and life. Based on this change, study of portable ECG monitoring system has attracted people’s attention.In this thesis, many related literatures have been referenced and the development of ECG system is described. A low-cost portable ECG monitoring system is designed based on Cortex-M3. The main work is shown as follows:Firstly, this portable monitor hardware circuit is designed on the base of the feature of ECG waveform. Signal conditioning circuit is designed for ECG signal amplification and filtering. STM32F101x is selected as the main controller. According to the characteristics of each chip, power circuit is designed.Secondly, based on STM32 master controller, ECG preprocessing algorithms is designed, including smoothing filtering and 50Hz power filtering.Based on adaptive differential threshold method, ECG feature detection algorithm is put forward in this thesis. Then the real-time ECG waveform and heart rate is displayed on the OLED.Finally, ECG monitoring and analysis system is designed in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.It can realize ECG real-time display, store and measurement parameters, including the RR, PR, QRS, QT, etc. Besides, it can print out diagnostic report for further diagnostic and analysis. For existing ECG filtering algorithms, a de-nosing method based on EEMD and wavelet threshold de-nosing theory is proposed in this thesis. The collected ECG signal was used for evaluating the performance of the proposed method. Test results show that, the ECG monitoring and analysis system designed in this thesis is not only stable and reliable, but also with a good performance.
