In today’s society, with the energy crisis and environment pollution intensified by step, it is imminent to look for new source. Pure electric vehicles, as people’s daily life transport, has been already more and more get the favor of people. However, the battery management technology stumbles has greatly limited the spread of electric cars. Therefore, aiming at the shortage of the management system in electric vehicles, this paper made a more in-depth research.In the management system of electric vehicle, SOC estimation and equalization technology become top priority in the battery management system. This paper also studies on these two aspects. In the SOC estimation, based on the traditional ampere-hour integral method and the open circuit voltage method, this paper proposes a modified ampere-hour integral-open circuit voltage method. It effectively avoid the faults of low precision of traditional ampere-hour integral method and the open circuit voltage method cannot online real-time estimation. In the study of equilibrium control, based on the theory of system identification, according to the measured battery charge and discharge data, this paper using least squares parameter estimation algorithm, equalization algorithm forecast mathematical model is established. On this basis, the charge and discharge equalization circuit is designed using the battery management chip LTC6804. The experimental results verify the accuracy of equalization algorithm. It also improved battery dynamic equilibrium effect, prolong the service life of the battery and save the cost.
