There are lots of advantages such as excellent quality, sufficient water, and easy access in the river bank filtration system, which is an important way in groundwater exploitation with the rapid development of the economic society and urbanization. In this thesis, systematic researches have been carried out with respect to the feasibility assessment of riverside groundwater resource field by taking Second Songhua River and Yinma River as the example. Based on the analysis of influencing factors for groundwater exploitation, feasibility assessment system is established concerning three major aspects including water quantity, water quality, and environmental geological risk. The weights and score of indicators are assigned by using expert evaluation method, and then suitability assessment is finished with superposition theorem of Geographic Information System. Feasible zone of water source area along the river are selected. Finally, sensitivity analysis of indicators weights is performed by employing OAT method to evaluate the uncertainty of the corresponding results.According to the feasibility index system, the research area is divided into five grades. The total area of Grade I is 364.6km2 that accounts for 2.08% of the total area, the total area of Grade II is 2676.8km2 that accounts for 15.27% of the total area, and the total area of Grade III is 4407.0km2 that accounts for 25.14% of the total area. The above three grades areas are characterized by their massive and shallow buried depth ground water aquifers, major storage spaces, strong water transmitting abilities and leaking capabilities from rainfalls and surfaces. The surface water is easy to reach the basic requirements of all kinds of water through the favorable infiltration system effects, and therefore the water quality is excellent. At the same time, the risk of land subsidence is low(less than 5mm) in the process of large-scale groundwater exploitation. The total area of Grade IV is 4382.5km2 that accounts for 25.00% of the total area. The water quantity of this section cannot be regarded as groundwater source field unless the exploitation amount is less. The total area of Grade V is 5699.0km2 that accounts for 32.51% of the total area, but this section is an unsuitable area owing to its poor water quantity and qualityThe proposed feasibility index system in this thesis can be applied to the preliminary screening of regional river bank filtration. Meanwhile, index weight and grading assignment is not universally applicable because of the limits of different research objects and diverse hydrogeological conditions in certain areas. They should be revised appropriately and accordingly when applied to other areas.
