Photovoltaic industry is quite sensitive to efficiency and cost issue. The output of PV module is nolinear, and would vary with the environment temperature or solar irradiance. That would bring difficulty for controller to track the maximum power point of PV array, especially for PV system used in civil or company, which is vulnerable to shade. It’s hard to find a balance between efficiency and cost under conventional control scheme. In this paper, the characteristics of PV module is analysed, and then, based on efficiency and controller cost, the control scheme of distributed MPPT is analysed. In order to reduce the cost on controllers and sensors in distributed MPPT control scheme,a new controller is designed.Based on interleaved flyback converter, the new controller only need one DSP chip, and one voltage sensor for each converter.and can perform independent MPPT for each converter. The new controller provide a good efficiency and lower cost.To improve the working condition of input and out capacitor, the flyback converter is interleaved.Normally the well designed flyback converter works under quasi-resonance ZVS condition, thus improved the converter’s efficiency. Then the experimental platform is build, and the parallel computing controller program is designed for the TMS320F28035 DSP,a multicore DSP with a floating-point supported coprocessor called CLA.After simulation and experiment, the controller proposed is proved to be practical.
