With the rapid development of Chinese automobile industry, car ownership is growing,then bring the problem of traffic congestion, especially during rush hour city, cars often is in the idle state. In view of this situation, in this paper, the traditional fuel vehicles join the idle start and stop system, and complete the following work.First of all, The car of accessing the start and stop of some the ideas in the domestic and foreign and use which the type of battery, According to the status quo at home and abroad,using CRUISE platform to the construction of the whole vehicle model, and not installed start and stop module of automobile to contrast fuel economy.Second, established composite composed of ultra-capacitor and the battery in the SimPowerSystem environment and battery power, and power supply to the starter. Extract the battery alone starting starter current voltage curve and composite power starter, battery current voltage curve.Finally, the loading start stop system with no load auto start stop system of automobile fuel economy comparison. Simulation results show that the load auto start stop system compared with no load start stop system in the car, the fuel consumption is reduced by 9.2%,obviously loading idling start stop system of automobile has good effect of energy saving and emission reduction. Simultaneous use of hybrid power system composed of the super capacitor and battery start the starter, and single use battery start the starter compared to the former provides the starting current is 2 times of the latter, so it is helpful to the starting of the engine; at the same time, starting pressure drop of the composite power supply battery also improved, so it is helpful to the protection of the battery.
