The traditional seismic method is only based on bearing capacity and ensured structural ductility, which is not adapt to the requirements on seismic performance of high-rise building. Especially the ultra-limit tall building, which is extremely easy to cause casualties and property damage under rare earthquakes. Performance-based seismic design can meet the requirements of the seismic performance of the ultra-limit tall building. Dynamic elastic-plastic analysis is an important analysis method of building structures under the earthquake.This article through to make the Wuhan Wanda Central Culture Area K7-3 main building small and middle and big seismic calculation, ensure that the overall structure in accordance with the conceptual design and relevant specification requirements. The FEM package ABAQUS is adopted to establish the fine FEM mode of super high-rise steel frame RC core wall structure. The elastic-plastic time history analysis of the structure under rarely met earthquake is carried out in this paper. The calculated results,including damage evolution process of core-wall, basal shear time-history curves, floor displacement and floor displacement angle envelope curves are attained. On the basis of performance-based design method, the results reflect the plastic damage changes in the structure. The analysis results show that the structure has good seismic performance.
