Steel structure buildings are considered as a kind of structural system which are Green Environmental Protection and adapt to the housing industry development. Just for the characteristic, it is introduced into general use in recent years. However, the heat release of thermal bridge is so large that heat preservation of steel structure residence needs to be further research.By means of researching the rural housing system of Qingdao areas, discussing the feasibility of steel residential structure and selecting building envelope material of wall, it is designed steel residential structures which blend of traditional style of Qingdao rural areas. This paper applies DeST-h software to analyze energy consumption of 10 different wall structures which are base on Qingdao’s meteorological parameter, so that it is obtained annual accumulative total heat load of typical meteorological years and natural room temperature.In this paper, column and column angle thermal bridge which is compose of square steel column are conducted steady heat transfer theory research and simulation analysis. In consideration of low air tightness of doors and windows, ventilation in winter and application of heating facilities in rural residence.Then the room temperature fluctuate based on natural indoor temperature of heating season, obtain surface temperature and heat flux of column and column angle thermal bridge which is on different working condition by different indoor calculate temperature: 6℃、8℃、10℃、12℃、14℃、16℃、18℃、20℃ and different material of wall: concrete hollow block, raw soil, heavy clay mortar, haydite concrete, lightweight aggregate concete. After that, it is calculated the zone of influence of square steel column and column base thermal bridge on building envelope. The zone of influence is increased with wall materials heat transfer coefficient decrease, meanwhile it is not changing with indoor temperature. The zone of column angle thermal bridge is larger than column thermal bridge. The hot loss area of column angle thermal bridge outside surface is bigger than inside, so it is more likely to condensation.Thermal bridge will increase the energy consumption, which embodied the zone of influence of thermal bridge is too large. The heat flux of thermal bridge is large, so it is need to optimize to reduce the heat release. There are four optimization measures here: heat preservation form, external wall thermal insulation materials, adds wall material and polystyrene insulation materials for the inside of wall. Thus it gives the effect of different optimization measures on minimum surface temperature and heat flux, and presents the optimum alternative.
