| Thermal fatigue simulation test of the heated component in internal combustion engine, is a good way to study thermal fatigue problems, or to evaluate the thermal fatigue reliability of heated components. Researchers in China have got many achievements in developping thermal fatigue simulation test rigs in recent years. But the researchers have not come up with unified test criterions and evaluation standards of the thermal fatigue simulation test. It is known that cooling water parameters have great influence on the thermal status of cylinder heads according to existing researchs. Therefor, study the influence of cooling water parameters on cylinder heads thermal status in thermal fatigue simulation tests, has great significance for choosing appropriate cooling water parameters, which can help to improve the accuracy of thermal fatigue simulation tests, and reduce the test cost. In this paper a series of tests are carried out with a cylinder head of a six-cylinder diesel engine, to study the influence of cooling water parameters on cylinder heads thermal status in thermal fatigue simulation tests. In this paper, the main contains are listed below:(1) Modifications of both hardware and software are conducted based on an existed hermal fatigue simulation test rig, which has a induction heater. The test rig can adjust the cooling water parameters after modified.(2) Induction heating parameters have great influence on distribution of cylinder head temperature. In this paper a series of induction heating tests of cylinder head are carried out under different induction heating parameters. And compare the distribution of cylinder head temperature with the distribution of temperature in real machine test. Then the appropriate induction heating parameter will be find out. Which can bring out the most similar distribution of cylinder head temperature compared with the real machine test.(3) A series of induction heating tests of cylinder head under different cooling water parameters are conducted, and the distributions of cylinder head temperature are recorded. Several conclusions are are obtained after data analysis:2)the temperature difference of cylinder head will decrease as the cooling water flow increase;2) the temperature difference of cylinder head will decrease as the cooling water temperature increase. So we may choose a less cooling water flow and lower cooling water temperature when we are conducting thermal fatigue simulation tests. And we can increase the temperature gradient of cylinder head by reduce the cooling water flow and temperature in thermal fatigue intensifying tests. |
