The peaty soil is a kind of special soft soil which is made up of humus, organic residues and minerals. It has the following characteristics:high organic content, low density, high water content, big pore ratio, strong compression, low intensity and slow consolidation. The peaty soil is widely distributed in Dianchi of Kunming and Erhai of Dali. Because the particularity of its structure and composition, we need to understand the engineering properties of peaty soil and reinforcement it, in order to achieve high standards of strength and requirements of settlement control. However, it is hard to achieve satisfying cure effect due to the particularity of its structure and composition. Therefore, the system research of the plateau peaty soil engineering properties of solidified soil has the important practical significance.Based on the four projects in Kunming and two projects in Dali, we take the six different organic matter content of peaty soil plateau lake phase of the project. A series of laboratory tests, including the unconfined compressive strength of solidified soil test and consolidation test, and emphatically analyzes the influence of curing environment. The main research content of this paper as follows:(1) Study on the physical and chemical properties of the plateau lacustrine peaty soil. The peat soil samplings were taken from six engineering sites of Dianchi lake basin and the Erhai lake basin. Through some related research with physical mechanical properties, we initially master the moisture content, liquid plastic limit, organic matter content, unconfined compressive strength, and pH value of peat soil of six fields; using the method of XRD diffraction analyses the mineral composition of the soil.(2) Study on the strength characteristics of the plateau lacustrine solidified peaty soil. Six sites with different organic matter and the initial moisture content of peat soil were chosen to carry out the only mixed cement experiment. Firstly, we explore the influence of unconfined compression strength. Secondly, analyzes the organic matter content, water cement ratio, cement mixing ratio and curing age on the peat solidified soil strength characteristics. Lastly, the influences of the curing mechanism of the peaty soil were discussed.(3) Study on the effect of the maintenance and environmental of the plateau lacustrine solidified peaty soil. Peaty soil of Five sites were chosen to carry out the only mixed cement experiment. We Analyze the organic matter content, water cement ratio, cement mixing ratio and curing age on the peat solidified soil strength characteristics. The influences of the water stability coefficient of the peaty soil were discussed.(4) Study on the compression feature of the plateau lacustrine solidified peaty soil. Based on the strength test results of the solidified peaty soil, the selection of kunming, Dali of the three fields of solidified peaty soil carry on consolidation test, study the initial conditions change (three field undisturbed soil have different moisture content, organic matter content), cement mixing ratio and curing age on the influence of the curing characteristics of peaty soil compression;Conclusion the compression feature of curing peaty soil;According to the properties of curing the compression of peaty soil to guide the curing engineering design.
