The integrated problem of process planning and job shop scheduling is one of the most difficult NP-Complete combinatorial optimization problems, and cellular automata and multi-agent system with their complementary advantages are good modeling tool to solve complex problems. Therefore, this paper adopts agent cellular automata (ACA) modeling approach to model, analysis and optimize the integrated problem of the just-in-time process planning and job shop scheduling, and has study feasibility and good practical significance.As two important branches of manufacturing enterprise system, the integration and optimization of process planning and scheduling is very important for ameliorating the practical process design and job shop scheduling problem, improving the equipment utilization rate, shortening the production cycle, improving product quality and reducing production cost and enhancing market competitiveness of enterprises. Given the lack of the traditional process planning and shop scheduling, the integrated process planning and job shop scheduling is the inevitable direction of research in economic development. The main purpose of this paper is using ACA modeling tool to model the integrated just-in-time process planning and job shop scheduling,using effective method for optimization and simulation, and using example to verify the feasibility of modeling and optimization method at last. The main work are as follows:First, this paper realized the optimization algorithm of process planning, gave the fitness function, determined the parameters of genetic algorithm.Second, modeled the job shop scheduling system by using CA model, abstracted the job-shop scheduling system as a two-dimensional network space, and reflected and described the system by using effective information such as station and dispatching rules and so on. Third, on the basis of CA model, introduced intelligent Agent, constructed the ACA model and multi-objective function of integration system of just-in-time process planning and job shop scheduling, used a genetic algorithm to build the main frame of the integration model, used taboo search method to implement the job-shop scheduling rule selection. The joint use of the two kinds of algorithm completed the implementation of integrated system and gained the optimal solution of the integrated system.Fourth, based on the Swarm platform, established and analysed the simulation model of the the integrated just-in-time process planning and job shop scheduling.Fifth, simulated a production workshop example of a company, confirmed the applicability of ACA model in integrated just-in-time process planning and job shop scheduling and the feasibility of the simulation method.
