Power transformer is an important equipment in power system, it plays a huge role in maintaining the stability of the power system, reasonable allocation and use of energy and so on. Winding overheating problem is an important factor limiting the transformer life and safe and reliable operation, accurate to calculate the temperature distribution of transformer winding, predicting hot spot temperature rise, is the key to ensuring safe and reliable operation of the transformer.This paper oriented the thermal characteristics of the interlaced oil duct disk-type winding transformer with guide structure, has done intensive research. In the process of solving the flow field, with reference to the current more mature urban water supply pipe network hydraulic analysis tools, combined with the Newton-Raphson method, converting the transformer’s oil way to loop system for network adjustment calculate. On this basis, the paper also introduces the convergence factor to ensure the oil flow calculation program convergence.After calculated the flow distribution of winding, reference numerical heat transfer theory to meshing the computational domain and establish conservation equation for each region. Using line iteration method and block-correction technique to transform the equations, then applying TDMA method to solve the transformed equations, can get the winding temperature distribution. On the basis of these mathematical models, write a temperature calculation software for this structure.In this paper, a series of model was established by Fluent software, carried out optimization analysis of 112 layers interlaced oil duct disk-type winding with guide structure, get the best guide configuration under the structure. And by using Fluent software to validate the results of self program, through a large number of simulated data to prove the reliability of the program calculation results. Finally, analyzed the calculation results of self program and Fluent, find out the reason why guide structure can strengthening heat dissipation.
