With the development of society,more and more serious traffic jam brings people inconvenient. Developing a set of effective intelligent transportation system is very necessary to ease traffic jam.The research focuses on image detection to design road congestion detection system based on image processing.The main research as follows:First,focus on the relevant research of the algorithm,by the algorithm to achieve traffic flow detection and the judgment of traffic conditions.Through the integration of the existing algorithm,we can design the optimal algorithm for this system,and use the MATLAB simulate the algorithm by the MATLAB to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the algorithm.Second,the intelligent transportation system data collection terminal hardware designing.The hardware system includes: image acquisition module,vehicle speed acquisition module, image cache and processing module.combine every module by designing the circuit and complete the system hardware structure.Later we can test various modules of the system and check whether the modules can work normally.Finally, the algorithm transplantation.We will use Visual DSP++ 5.1 to debug the program and transplant the integrated algorithm to the DSP based on the chip of BF533,complete simulated run of the system.Experiments show that the system can obtain the vehicle number from the traffic image and combine with the speed data to judge the road condition accurately.
