Xinjiang is one of the most important provinces in China’s western border, is also China’s earthquake fortification zone of seismic zoning map. Xinjiang Army Corps of production and construction in earthquake prevention invested a lot of money. Therefore developed a kind of low energy consumption, good seismic performance of the wall structure to improve the xinjiang production and construction corps and the xinjiang uygur autonomous region rural residents living conditions and promote corps has a positive function for the construction of villages and towns.According to the characteristics and demand of residential buildings in Xinjiang production and Construction Corps, A new type of concrete hollow block and EPS mixed soil composite wall structure was proposed in this paper. Experimental study to improve the seismic performance of composite wall In this paper, and deduced the formula provides a theoretical basis for the Corps towns multi-storey buildings for the next step will be the new composite wall application. Specific include the following contents:(1) Comparison of seismic performance research experiments of adding structural column of the new composite wall.A total of nine pieces of new composite wall was designed in this paper, including three to tie, beam reinforced composite wall and six pieces of composite masonry wall element. Study on this new type of concrete block EPS composite wall failure process and morphology, crack development, bearing capacity, deformation capacity, hysteretic characteristics, ductility and energy dissipation capacity and stiffness degradation and other basic seismic performance. Through comparative test study found that, restricting constructional columns can load seismic performance, energy dissipation capacity of the improved model of concrete block wall. Did not take the failure form of reinforced concrete structural column constraint model block compound walls tend to brittle failure, and the crack in the wall after the poor deformation capacity, cracking soon after reaching the ultimate load. On the contrary, the cracking load of high to take measures to strengthen the constraint structure column and circle beam of the new concrete block composite wall, deformation capacity of the wall is better.(2) Shear bearing capacity formula of the new composite wall with constructional columnThrough the analysis of data in the wall with constructional columns under low cyclic loading tests,the shear mechanism of grouted block masonry wall, calculation formula of shear bearing capacity is deduced for the new type of composite wall. Based on the existing constraints of structural column wall formula and the experimental data on the proposed to meet the requirements of the new composite wall with constructional column and the shear capacity calculation formula, use as reference for engineering design.
