Safe and effective detection of non-metal landmines is still a technical problem to the international landmine-detection experts. In this paper, the acoustic resonance recognition has been researched and the relevant experiments have been carried out based on the great flexibility of landmine as well as acoustic-seismic coupling mechanism. The main achievement and innovation are in the following aspects:1. The fundamental principle of acoustic resonant detection technique have been summarized together with domestic and international development. The acoustic-seismic coupling mechanism and principles of acoustic resonant detection technique have been summed up. A special effort is made to expound the spread property of seismic and the resonance mechanism of “soil-mine” system. The feasibility and technology character of acoustic resonant detection technique have been analyzed theoretically.2.The landmines recognition method based on the ground vibration intensity and scanning detection technique has been researched. The physical quantity, ground vibration intensity, is used to characterize the existence of mines according to the resonance and anti-resonance character of “soil-mine” system. The objects are detected experimentally by scanning detection method under the circumstance that nothing buried and different objects, including brick, big plastic mine, small plastic mine and metal mine, are buried underground. The influence of types of mines and the soil environment on the acoustic resonance mine detection signal has been analyzed through drawing the 3-D feature map about the detection position by measuring the intensity of vibration, which has tested the further feasibility of acoustic mine detection technique.3. This article studies the standoff model based on the acoustic-laser landmines detection principle with a combination of PAA and LDV. Acoustic emission system and data acquisition system of standoff landmines detection experimental system are designed. The electric power, detection range and frequency of initial pump tones inwhich parametric acoustic array(PAA) can generate audible acoustic sound with sufficient intensity are analyzed. The collection frequency, resolution and detection range of the data acquisition system which is based on a laser Doppler vibrometer(LDV) are introduced. The system can realize the standoff measurement from a safe distance, provide a principle model and method for acoustic resonance landmines detection engineering system.
